For Over 20 seasons, the Hampstead Ravens have been flying high, having fun and playing hard. We are proud to be a championship winning program!

Over the years Ravens have brought home a National Championship, many Maryland State Championships, and even more league championships.

We offer a full contact football program, giving children ages 5- 14 the opportunity to play football. Hundreds of children have played football with us, and we thank you, the community for this opportunity.

We start practice July 25th this year. Depending on the team, practices can be 2-4 times a week.  Once school starts, practice will be 2 nights per week.  Practice nights are scheduled by the team coaches at a later date.

Games begin August 26th. Games are held either Friday nights or Saturdays.  The Ravens use Hampstead Lions Club Park as our home field for games and practices. Hampstead Lions Club Park is located at Summit St, Hampstead, MD 21074.

We compete in the CCYFCL Football and Cheer League and we travel throughout Carroll, Baltimore and Montgomery Counties. A full list of field directions are provided by the CCYFCL on their website and a list of field addresses is provided here.

History

20 Seasons Of Tradition

The Hampstead Ravens Youth Football Club program was originally started in 1995 by founding members Stephen Bosely, Mike Kunert, Brian Ensor, and Kirby Miller.  Mike Kunert continues to serve on the Executive Board to this day.

The four founding members came up with the idea to start the program at a time when other programs in the area were at full capacity. Because of this, some children were without an option to play America's greatest game.

Wanting all the kids in the community to have the opportunity to suit up in the fall, the four men worked to create a football rec organization. The birth of the new community football program coincided with the arrival of the Ravens to Baltimore.

The founders seized the opportunity and they contacted the Baltimore Ravens about use of the club's name and logo. The Baltimore Ravens were more than happy to oblige, allowing Hampstead not only to use their name, but also allowing them to incorporate the logo! The Hampstead Ravens were the first youth football program in the state to use the name and logo. Thank you, Baltimore Ravens!

The Hampstead Ravens Youth Football Club has had many successes over the 20 year history of the program, while providing the youth of Carroll County and surrounding areas an opportunity to participate in full contact football and cheerleading.

Our program has brought home numerous MMYFCL League Championships, State Championships, and National Championships. We've had amazing cheerleading champions in countless competitions and the US Finals! Over half of our football teams make it to playoffs annually! We take pride in our youth and our community.

This year, we are joining the CCYFL and look to bring our elite program to continue being successful by playing with heart and determination.

The Hampstead Ravens practice and play their games at the Hampstead Lions Club field on Hillcrest Avenue due to a tremendous partnership with the Lions Club, allowing use of their tremendous facility.

The Hampstead Ravens are a non-profit, privately funded organization whose success is due solely to the efforts of its many volunteers and the generosity of corporate sponsors. We look forward to continue to let the youth of the community FLY LIKE A RAVEN!
